Double presentation at EEEGR Marine Special Interest Group (SIG) Local Solutions: Global Reach, Norwich

East Point Geo gave two presentations at the East of England Energy Group Marine SIG meeting at the home of Norwich City Football Club this month. Dr Andy Mills (pictured) provided a joint presentation with HexCam on the use of drone technology to add value to coastal change analysis at Happisburgh, North Norfolk (where rapid recession has the potential to impact energy infrastructure as well as the coastal communities who live there).

David Rushton presented EPG’s second talk on ‘Shallow Gas Assessment for Geotechnical Drilling: Lessons from Asia’, providing lessons learned from the MV GEOS incident (and following Tom Gray’s earlier appearance on a specialist shallow drilling panel in Malaysia). Both David and Andy’s presentations stimulated some interesting discussions, as did many of the excellent presentations given throughout the day.

Although Tom Gray was unable to attend, he was a key part of the organising committee for this successful EEEGR event.
