GEOTECHNICAL ANALYSIS

Foundation design relies on the accurate assessment of soil data. We interpret and parameterise geotechnical data using statistical methods and engineering judgement. We use design parameters to perform foundation analysis according to industry best-practice design codes, coupled with sensitivity analyses of uncertainties or testing of novel methods. We assess the foundation response to environmental and structural loads, including wind, waves and currents.

DYNAMIC INTERACTION

Foundations in geohazardous areas may be exposed to significant loads. We employ analytical and numerical assessments of ‘accidental limit state’ from soil mass movements such as landslides, debris flows and turbidity currents. We undertake 1D, 2D or 3D site response analysis to understand soil response to earthquake shaking. All of our numerical assessments use specialist analysts and the latest finite element software and models.

WELL AND TOP-HOLE

East Point Geo undertake shallow hazards and well top-hole assessments following IOGP guidelines in conjunction with our own significant experience of working with well engineering teams globally.
